Siapo, also known as a tapa, is one of the oldest Samoan cultural art forms. Siapo has been passed down through the generations for decades. Despite this, it is quickly becoming an almost extinct art. Siapo is a symbol of Samoan culture as well as a decorative art form. It is used for Clothing, bed covers, ceremonial garments, and much more.
Last week in our Kea room we celebrated Samoan Language week. As a part of our celebration, we had Siapo Art colouring activities.
